Donald J.B. Van der Wiel

As the Chief Financial Officer of Fifth Gear, Don Van der Wiel leads our finance
and human resource functions.

Don joined us in May 2010, bringing over 20 years of retail experience.  Most recently, Don served as Chief Financial Officer of hhgregg, Inc., a publicly-traded specialty retailer of electronics and appliances.  He has held leadership roles at Buffets Holdings, Things Remembered, Carter’s and Sears.  Don began his career with Deloitte & Touche LLP where he earned his CPA.

Don has an MBA from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
